In the spirit of elevating Virginia State University’s standing within the Commonwealth and the nation, a strategic vision was outlined in the 20/20 Vision Plan and the VSU Master Plan. The 20/20 Vision Plan addresses academic and capital improvement goals. The VSU Master Plan addresses the physical changes that will occur throughout the campus and will serve as the road map for implementing change over time.
During 2006, the Virginia State University Foundation began the development of an Action Plan aligned with the University’s 20/20 Vision Plan. The plan establishes the strategic direction for the Foundation by targeting several areas of opportunity including, but not limited to, increasing student scholarships 25% by 2010, increasing corpus 100% by 2020 and providing “special needs” funding to the University.
